Nature and the environment are close to everyone’s heart. A large part of the product’s carbon footprint is decided at the initial design stage. We can help you choose environmentally friendly production methods and materials, and if necessary we can calculate the carbon footprint of your product’s manufacture.
Leanmec integrates sustainable design principles into machine design, product design and mechanical design. This can include using environmentally friendly materials, designing for energy efficiency and minimising waste generation throughout the product life cycle.
We aim to promote collaboration for sustainability by working with customers, suppliers and stakeholders throughout the design and manufacturing processes.
We use SolidWorks Sustainability software integrated with SolidWorks design software. It provides tools for life cycle assessment and helps assess the future environmental impact of products. This allows us to influence the end result already at the design stage, for example through material choices and structural solutions. The results can be used for environmental labelling.
