The customer had a hose reel in production whose moulds were at the end of their life. At the same time, they wanted cost efficiency and minor upgrades to the product. During the project, several parts were integrated, assembly was simplified and even the problem areas identified in the product were improved. However, the new product must not differ much from the old one in terms of appearance, which places its own constraints on the various solutions. The end result was a significant reduction in the number of moulds and parts. Materials were reduced by almost 10% of the weight.
